Among those portraits, which are exhibited for the first time, are a series of the world famous international actress and model Cara Delevingne, whom Jonathan Yeo has described as: 'an excellent chameleon' and 'the perfect motif and the perfect muse'.

A Study of Modern Identity ConstructionĪt the exhibition one can experience these and many more of Yeo’s portraits. Often these are world-renowned names in the fields of arts, media, and politics, such as peace activist Malala Yousafzai, the artist and collector Damien Hirst, actors such as Kevin Spacey, Dennis Hopper, Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman, Helena Bonham Carter, and Jude Law, politician Tony Blair, director Baz Luhrmann, and the British royals, Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Jonathan Yeo is famous for creating his works through a close relationship with the people he portrays. His autodidact background has helped him to develop his own style and approach, which has helped placing portrait painting on the 21st century's artistic agenda. He is one of his generation's greatest and most renowned portrait painters - a trade, which he taught himself. On Mathe Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle exhibits the largest retrospective exhibition ever of the work by the British portrait artist Jonathan Yeo.
